Need to become self-reliant in military technology: Indian Navy Chief

Expressing concern over India's military import trends, Chief of Indian Navy Admiral Nirmal Verma, stated that in order to become a strong nation, India should focus on becoming self-reliant in military technologies and weapons production. While delivering the keynote address at the two-day International Seminar and Exhibition on Naval Armaments, NAVARMS 2010, organised by CII in New Delhi on Wednesday, Admiral Nirmal Verma said that India should have the flexibility to choose its course of military action.
