Omar to initiate talks with separatists and New Delhi

Chief minister-elect of Jammu and Kashmir, Omar Abdullah on Sunday said that he would try to initiate talks between separatists and the central government. The 38-year-old charismatic heir of a political dynasty in Kashmir will be heading a coalition government with Congress party, in what is seen as giving hope to a region beset by separatist rebellion.
