The Nanavati Commission probing the 2002 Gujarat riot cases on Thursday kept the option of summoning Chief Minister Narendra Modi open when it told the Gujarat High Court that its decision not to call him was "not final". The Commission clarified its stand while responding to a notice by the court on March 22 querying whether its decision not to summon the 59-year-old Modi for questioning was tentative or final.
