Police arrest a Maoist in Chhattisgarh

Chhattisgarh Police arrested a Maoist ultra, Arun Tirkey, in Jashpur district on Wednesday. Police also recovered a revolver, six detonators, three 7.62 SLR round and a mobile phone from him. Additional superintendent of police of Jashpur, J R Thakur, said that Tirkey used to operate from the rural areas of Jharkhand and extorted money from village heads and landlords.
