Powerful bomb rocks Imphal

A powerful bomb exploded in Imphal on Wednesday morning, killing one and injuring several others. The bomb went off outside the venue of the Sangai tourism festival organised by the Manipur government. The bomb was rigged to a rickshaw parked near the gate, officials said. The blast took place just two days before Prime Minister Manmohan Singh's visit to the state and just one day after the Manipur economic blockade was partially lifted.
