Presidential poll to be held on July 19

The Election Commission on Wednesday announced the schedule for the forthcoming presidential election. The poll would be held on July 19 and counting of the ballots on July 21. The term of incumbent President APJ Abdul Kalam ends on July 24. The President elected would take over from President APJ Abdul Kalam on July 25 when the present incumbent demits his office.
