Second phase of Census 2011 begins today

The second phase of the countrywide census process officially began in New Delhi on Wednesday with the enumeration of the country's first citizen, Indian President Pratibha Devi Singh Patil. Second in the queue was the country's vice president Hamid Ansari, who told media persons that the country would hugely benefit from the census. The vice president encouraged the country to actively come forward and participate in the decadal exercise.
