Decked up in their mountaineering gear to scale snow-capped Himalayas, youngsters in India's Northeastern Sikkim are all set to tap the potential of adventure tourism in the state. The Department of Tourism in Sikkim is offering a training programme with the aim of building a team of educated young mountaineering guides that would help promote adventure tourism in the state and consequently broaden avenues of employment.
