Six cops injured in an encounter in Srinagar

Atleast 6 policemen were injured after terrorists lobbed a grenade at security forces in Ahmadnagar residential area of Srinagar in Jammu and Kashmir.The grenade attack was followed by a gunbattle following which police sealed off the area, as one terrorist from the banned Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) was believed to be trapped in the area.The injured cops were rushed to a local hospital after the fierce encounter, at the end of which the terrorist managed to escape in the dark.
