At least six militants and two soldiers of Indian Army were killed in a fierce encounter that took place in Baramulla region of Kashmir on Friday. According to the reports, acting on a tip off, Indian security forces cordoned the Rafiabad village, in Baramulla district to track down the suspected militants. No sooner than the militants sensed the presence of the security forces, they opened fire from one of the houses where they were hiding. However, confirming the death of ultras and also the personnel of Rashtriya Rifles, Abdul Qayoom Manhas, Deputy Inspector General of Police of Baramulla Range said that the militants could be members of the Lashkar-e-Toiba (LET), the Pakistan based militant outfit.
