Uphaar tragedy victims remembered

June 13 is an unforgettable day for the people who lost their loved ones in the 1997 Uphaar cinema tragedy. A decade ago, 59 moviegoers were charred to death in a raging fire inside the theatre. Twenty-eight grieving families brought together by the tragedy are still fighting for justice. The association of victims of Uphaar tragedy had lodged an FIR, alleging death due to negligence, against the owner of the cinema hall.
