Woman translates Islamic texts to Sanskrit

Nahid Abidi, a Shia Muslim from Varanasi, has translated several Islamic texts to Sanskrit, the oriental language of Hindu religious scriptures. Abidi got inspiration from various works of Urdu and Farsi scholars like Mirza Ghalib, renowned classical Urdu and Persian poets. Abidi took interest in the language right from her childhood, partly because it is a scoring subject but the affinity grew with passing of years.
