India’s DAC gives nod to buy 288 S-400 interceptor missiles; IAF pitches for another Russian system

Defence sources say the Rajnath Singh–chaired Defence Acquisition Council has granted Acceptance of Necessity (AoN) to buy 288 more S‑400 interceptor missiles from Russia at an estimated cost of ₹10,000 crore, via the Fast Track Procedure, to replenish stocks reportedly used during Operation Sindoor.
