Congress has attacked the Modi government over the new digital media rules and said that it shows the BJP believes in the ‘Big Daddy Syndrome’ and compared it to the ‘North-Korea’ model. Speaking to the media, Congress leader Abhishek Manu Singhvi said that free speech is essential in democracy and alleged that the BJP is against the vibrant culture of India. He also said that end-to-end encryption is the backbone of privacy.
