‘Cost-effective, pollution-free’: Gadkari launches India's first CNG tractor

Union Minister Nitin Gadkari launched country's first-ever diesel tractor converted to CNG. It has been jointly developed by Rawmatt Techno Solutions and Tomasetto Achille India. This tractor is expected to help farmers save at least ₹1 lakh annually. The diesel-converted CNG tractor is said to be pollution-free as well as economical. “A farmer spends around ₹3.5 lakh for transportation every year. For farming, farmers spend around ₹2.5 lakh to purchase diesel. With this tractor, farmers will save around 55% of the amount spent now. This tractor is cost-effective as well as pollution-free,” Gadkari said. Union ministers Dharmendra Pradhan, Parshottam Rupala and General (Retd) Dr V K Singh were also present at launch.
