Gen Naravane is Chairman, Chiefs of Staff Committee till new CDS appointment

Days after Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) General Bipin Rawat's tragic demise in Tamil Nadu chopper crash, Indian Army chief General MM Naravane has been appointed as the chairman of the Chiefs of Staff Committee to ensure synergy among the three forces. As per a report in India Today, General Naravane is the senior-most among all the chiefs of Army, Navy and Air Force and hence took over the mantle as the Chairman. However the arrangement is temporary till the the appointment of a new Chief of Defence Staff. Watch this report for more.
