‘India close partner’: Pentagon on U.S ties amid Russia-China military exercise

The United States has dismissed questions over the latest joint military drills involving China, Russia and India. Responding to a question on India joining the Vostok Military Exercise 2022, Pentagon has now stated that India and the U.S have a close defence partnership. "India is a sovereign country and may choose its own partners with whom to conduct exercises," said Pentagon spokesman Brig Gen Patrick Ryder.
