India Stuns As U.S. Agrees To Share 'Crown Jewel' Jet Engine Tech For IAF; Cong Clears Historic Deal

The United States Congress has paved the way for a landmark India-U.S. jet engine deal. The U.S. Congress has no objection to the deal which will allow GE (General Electric) alongwith the HAL to make F-414 engines for the IAF fighter jets. Under this deal, the U.S. has agreed to share its jet engine technology, which it considers as a 'crown jewel.' The deal has been in the talks since PM Narendra Modi visited the U.S. this year.
