External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar offered prayers at a Hindu temple during his visit to Thailand. Jaishankar visited the Devasthana temple, the official centre of Hinduism in Thailand, this morning. The temple is the home of the Court Brahmins, who descended from an ancient lineage of priests from Rameswaram in Tamil Nadu. On Wednesday, Jaishankar visited the Temple of the Emerald Buddha and saw the murals of Ramayana. He also met Thailand's PM Prayut Chan-o-cha on Tuesday and conveyed the greetings of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The foreign minister also co-chaired the 9th India-Thailand Joint Commission meeting along with the deputy PM and foreign minister of Thailand. Watch this video to know more.
