J&K: Top Jaish terrorist killed; ‘provided hideouts to foreign JeM militants’

Top Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) commander terrorist Sham Sofi, who was killed in an encounter that broke out in Jammu & Kashmir’s Tral. Sofi used to provide shelter and hide-out to foreign Jaish terrorists, said Kashmir Inspector-General of Police (IGP) Vijay Kumar. Calling the encounter a big achievement for security forces in that area, the IGP said, " He was first arrested in 2004 and spent 2 years in jail under the Jammu and Kashmir Public Safety Act, 1978 (PSA).
