India has summoned Pakistan’s Charge d’Affaires Saad Warraich and lodged a strong protest after a Pakistani naval vessel collided with an Indian Navy warship in the North Arabian Sea on September 15. According to India’s Ministry of External Affairs, the Pakistani vessel approached the Indian warship at high speed during a routine surveillance mission and manoeuvred in what New Delhi described as an “unprofessional and unsafe” manner. The collision took place in international waters and did not cause any major damage, according to the MEA.
