Terrorists kill Colonel, his wife & son, and 3 soldiers in Manipur

In a major terrorist attack in Manipur, an Assam Rifles commanding officer and three soldiers were killed in Churachandpur's Singhat. In further distressing news, Colonel Viplav Tripathi's wife and son were also killed in the attack. Their convoy was returning from a forward base to battalion headquarters when the attack took place. Terrorists reportedly used an improvised explosive device (IED) blast to ambush the convoy.
