Putin's top aide warns against removing 'letter & spirit' of Alaska talks from Trump's peace plan

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov has warned that Moscow will react negatively if the understandings reached at the Alaska summit with US President Donald Trump are watered down or removed from Washington’s evolving Ukraine peace blueprint. He signaled that Russia expects the “letter and spirit” of those Alaska talks—seen in Moscow as key to any eventual settlement—to be preserved in the 28‑point plan now being refined with Kyiv and Western allies.
