Azhar slams Kambli over match-fixing claims

Former Indian skipper Mohammad Azharuddin has rubbished the claims made by his former teammate Vinod Kambli that the 1996 World Cup semifinal against Sri Lanka could have been fixed. Kambli made the startling claim at an interview to a television channel on Thursday. Slamming Kambli over his comments, Azharuddin, who was the skipper at that time, said that Kambli must have been sleeping when the collective decision to bowl was taken.
