Chandu Borde optimistic about new assignment

New Indian cricket manager Chandrakant Gulabrao Borde on Tuesday said he was excited and looking forward to the new assignment. The 72-year-old former skipper was named manager after South African Graham Ford declined an offer to coach the Indian team on Monday. Commenting on team's performance in the World Cup, Chandu Borde, however, defended the players, saying much of the criticism was unwarranted.
