about the video
The Indian Hockey Team kick-started the Men’s Hockey World Cup with a 5-0 win over South Africa. Simranjeet Singh was awarded the Man of the Match as his brace added to the 5 goal tally. The captain of the team, P R Sreejesh spoke to the media after the match. He said, “One match doesn’t decide everything but it’s a good start for the team. We’ve made mistakes and there is a room to improve. But now we need to enjoy this victory and carry forward this energy. We came here for the 3 points and we got them. Now, we need to rectify the mistakes we made in today’s match and prepare for the next.” India will face Belgium next on December 2. (Hindustan Times)
