'There is only one president. . . ': Maduro's VP defies Trump's backing to be next Venezuelan president

Venezuelan Vice President Delcy Rodríguez denounces the U.S. operation that seized Nicolás Maduro and Cilia Flores as “unprecedented military aggression” and an illegal kidnapping aimed at regime change and resource seizure, declares that all branches of state and the armed forces remain united behind Maduro as the “only president” of Venezuela, and vows that a fully “activated” Venezuelan people and National Defence Council will defend the country’s sovereignty while seeking international support from allies in China, Russia, Latin America, Africa, and Asia.
