Video of 8 stripped at M.P police station goes viral; Probe ordered

Pictures of 8 men, including a journalist being stripped inside a police station in Madhya Pradesh's Sidhi district, have now gone viral. The incident took place on April 2, but came to light after the pictures were circulated on social media. The journalist spotted in the picture has revealed that he was arrested when he was on his way to cover protests against the arrest of theatre artist Neeraj Kunder. The journalist alleged that he along with others were stripped, abused and beaten up inside the police station because he was running stories against a local BJP MLA. Two senior police officers at the station have been removed from field duty and an internal inquiry has been ordered. The incident has now taken a political twist with Congress slamming the BJP government in the state.
