Chinese President Xi Jinping departed New Delhi after participating in the two-day 18th BRICS Summit hosted by India. Xi attended the summit in New Delhi and held a bilateral meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the sidelines of the gathering, where the two leaders discussed strengthening India-China ties. His visit marked his first trip to India in seven years. Xi’s departure came at the conclusion of the BRICS Summit, which brought together leaders and representatives from member and partner countries.
