What Putin’s Imminent Reelection As President Of Russia Means For India, China & The World

Presidential elections are underway in Russia and Vladimir Putin is set to secure fifth term as the President. Voting is also underway in the annexed regions of Ukraine for the next three days. TASS news agency reported that expatriates have also been allowed to vote, with overseas voting taking place at 288 polling stations in 144 countries. ANI reported that one of these polling stations has been set up in at the Russian Consulate in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala. Putin's last tenure saw the unprecedented war in Ukraine, several sanctions on Russia and the death of his fiercest critic - Alexei Navalny.
