Two deadly incidents in the span of less than a week have brought Delhi's crumbling residential infrastructure into the spotlight. First a building collapse in Saidulajab, and then a fire in Hauz Rani have exposed the Delhi Development Authority's failure in regulating unauthorised colonies which have burgeoned in the absence of affordable housing in the national capital.
