Joe Biden has reiterated that the US is on track to pullout from Afghanistan by August 31. Biden has been under pressure from G7 leaders to extend the deadline for troops withdrawal. Biden warned that staying longer carries serious risks for allied troops and civilians. Biden said, "ISIS-K, an affiliate of the terror group based in Afghanistan, presents a growing threat to Kabul airport." Biden, however, added that reaching the goal depends on continued cooperation from the Taliban. He said G7 leaders agreed to 'continue close cooperation to get people out' from Afghanistan. He also informed that the US has evacuated 70,700 people since august 14, a day before Taliban takeover.
