Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu and UN secretary-general clashed over the accusations of UNRWA in Gaza helping Hamas in Oct 7 attacks. Israeli PM called for the UN agency to be replaced as it had been infiltrated by Hamas. Antonio Guterres, on the other hand, called the UN agency backbone of humanitarian assistance in Gaza and appealed to member states to rethink their decision to suspend funding to it. 15 countries have suspended funding to the UN agency and 9 out of the 12 accused employees have been sacked so far.
