As the world ushered in the new year, Hezbollah continued its aerial attacks on Israel. Hezbollah on January 1, 2024 said that it had struck several IDF sites in north Israel on December 31, 2023. A senior Hezbollah official also reacted to Israel PM Benjamin Netanyahu's reported statement that he would do whatever it takes to restore calm in the north where Israel shares the border with Lebanon, where Hezbollah is based.
