Yemeni rebels Houthis have emerged as a resilient non-state force with the relentless attacks in the Red Sea. Abdul Malik al-Houthi, the movement’s chief, is being credited for transforming the group from a ragtag militia to a modern military power. The Houthi chief, as per Reuters, established himself as a fierce battlefield commander before rising through the ranks and taking the reins of the militant group. He is now daring world powers with warning of attacks from “land and sea”.
