Meet the first clouded leopard cub born via artificial insemination
A rare clouded leopard was recently born at Nashville Zoo through artificial insemination. The male cub is the first for the species to be born through artificial insemination. Zoo officials said the procedure was a huge accomplishment for conservation efforts. Zoo director said Jim Bartoo said it was the first successful birth after several attempts. There are just around 10,000 clouded leopards left in the world and their population is on a steady decline.
