On cam: Federal cars rush to air base as Trump’s plane suffers mid-air tech glitch on way to Davos

Air Force One, the US Presidential plane, cut short its journey and returned to the United States early Wednesday after a minor electrical problem was identified on board while carrying Donald Trump to Switzerland for the World Economic Forum in Davos. Video footage showed a convoy of blacked-out vehicles with flashing lights speeding toward Joint Base Andrews after the decision was made to turn the aircraft back. In a statement, the White House said the move was taken “out of an abundance of caution”, adding that the president and his team would switch to another aircraft and continue their trip to Switzerland.
