JD Vance is facing questions over his embrace of the “conspiracy theorist” label after remarks by White House Chief of Staff Susie Wiles, who described him as having been “a conspiracy theorist for a decade” in interviews with Vanity Fair. In a rally at Pennsylvania, the vice president said, “Sometimes I am a conspiracy theorist, but I only believe in the conspiracy theories that are true,” and cited his past criticism of masking young children during the Covid-19 pandemic and his long-running claims that the media and government concealed President Joe Biden’s declining fitness for office.
