This circus is bridging gaps between poverty & privilege
A youth circus in New Jersey is using spinning plates, acrobatics, and unicycles to bridge the divide between poverty and privilege. The Trenton Circus Squad pairs kids from the inner city with their peers from the wealthier suburbs. The program is free to kids between ages of 12-17years, and relies on donations to keep the doors open. The only tension found here is on the tightrope, teaching teens to be the ring master of their own life.
