At least 11 dead as Typhoon Hagibis hits Japan with rain causing floods & landslides. Typhoon Hagibis made landfall south of Tokyo Saturday and moved northward. Homes were submerged under muddy waters in many areas. Rescue operations went into full force in affected areas. Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe called a meeting to discuss rescue efforts. He said, “Along with police, firefighters and the Japan Coast Guard, 27,000 Self-Defense Forces personnel are currently undertaking rescue and relief activities.”
