US House passes bill to ban assault weapons; Will Senate help make it Gun Law?

The US House of Representatives has passed a bill to ban assault weapons in first-of-its-kind vote in decades. The legislation was passed by a 217-213 vote in the democratic majority house. The bill will now go to 100-member Senate where it is likely doomed to fail. 50 Democratic members need the support of 10 Republicans to pass the bill. But so far only 2 Republicans have supported the ‘Gun Ban Law’ despite a spurt in deadly mass shootouts. Watch this video to know more.
