EU moots Olympics ceremony boycott

The European Parliament has approved by an overwhelming majority a resolution on Tibet calling for 'the non-attendance of the Olympic games opening ceremony in the event, if there is no resumption of dialogue between the Chinese authorities and his Holiness the Dalai Lama'. Edward McMillan-Scott, one of the European Parliament Vice-President, welcomed the result of the vote and said it should put pressure on European politicians.
