LTTE drops bombs on air force base

Sri Lanka's Tamil Tigers dropped bombs on an air force base by Colombo international airport from light aircraft on Monday, killing three airmen and wounding 16. According to officials, the rebels have warned more attacks would follow. Airline and government officials said the civilian airport, was not damaged but had been closed and Sri Lankan Airlines said all arrivals and departures were on hold.
