Pakistan's former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, who was ousted in a military coup in 1999, returned home from exile today to challenge President Pervez Musharraf's bid for a second term in office. Nawaz Sharif, left for Pakistan on Sunday after seven years in exile to challenge Musharraf, who could arrest him when he touches down. Sharif plans to lead a procession from Islamabad to Lahore, the capital of Punjab province, and is expected to draw huge crowds.
