Protesters take to streets across Syria

Despite the capture of Baba Amro by Syrian government troops, a symbol of resistance to President Bashar al-Assad, protesters braved streets across Syria on Friday. Demonstrations were held in Homs, Hama, Deir al-Zor, Deraa, Douma and several districts in Damascus. Amateur video purported to show one group of protesters standing their ground in a face-off with security forces in Hassake, a town near Al-Qamishli on Syria's northern border.
