Megyn Kelly accuses Meghan Markle of staging hiking photos, sparks controversy
Megyn Kelly sparked controversy with the criticism of Meghan Markle's hiking photos, which she claims were staged, and her comments on Markle's athleisure wear
Former Fox News host Megyn Kelly has criticized the Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle over photos of her hiking near her home in Montecito, California.

Kelly claimed that the photos were staged and took aim at Markle’s athleisure wear, saying, “She actually had a little neck scarf with a tie. I’m sorry ladies, but we’ve all walked our dogs, literally nobody does that.” The former host went on to say that nobody wears a “little neck tie with a scarf and the glasses, and the hat and the perfectly wrapped little wrap for later just in case it gets chilly.”
Markle, 41, was photographed on a 40-minute hike near her home without her husband, Prince Harry, 38, or their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.
The ‘Remember Me’ star was joined by friends Markus Anderson and Heather Dorak, as well as Kim Kardashian’s former bodyguard. The hike took place over the weekend of the coronation of King Charles III, which Markle did not attend reportedly to “protect her peace.”
The American media personality’s comments were made during an appearance on “Sky News Australia.” She claimed that Markle’s “million-dollar smile” was a clear indication that the photos weren’t candid, saying, “‘Oh you, oh hello… where did you come from? How on earth did you know I’d be here?’ added, “It was obvious, like everything with this woman. ”
For the hike, the Duchess of Sussex wore Princess Diana’s Cartier watch, which she wears nearly every day, along with a Bentley & Skinner diamond tennis bracelet.
While Markle did not attend Charles III’s coronation, the Dutch of Sussex briefly traveled to London to witness his father’s historic crowning. Although he did not publicly interact with his father or estranged brother Prince William, Dutch of Wales a former royal staffer claims the red-headed royal would’ve “personally regretted” not showing up for his dad.
Markle’s outing with friends has been met with criticism from some who claim that the photos were staged. However, others have defended the Duchess, saying that it is possible to wear a neck scarf while hiking and that Markle is entitled to maintain privacy.
