"It's a metaphor for embracing life," he says.

A satirical drama that delves into the lives of a dysfunctional family, the 80-minute long play looks at life post the Rang De Basanti fervour.

"It's about three libertarians — a playboy father divorced from his wife and an uptight son – who don't believe in candle-light activism at India Gate, but doing their job well," Subhakar says of his fourth production.

By a quirk of fate, the director had to jump into the lead actor's role, since the latter has taken ill.

"I'm the only one who knows the dialogues at this short notice," he says with a grin.
