Sleuths of special police establishment (SPE), Lokayukta on Saturday arrested Shivpuri additional district magistrate (ADM) while accepting bribe of Rs 10,000 from a businessman for releasing license for stone mining.
SPE, Lokayukta inspector RB Sharma informed that ADM ZU Sheikh was demanding Rs 30,000 from a businessman Divakar Agrawal, a resident of Picchore for releasing his license.
Agrawal lodged complaint at SPE, Lokayukta. Following complaint, Lokayukta team laid a trap and caught the ADM red-handed while accepting bribe.
Lokayukta police also arrested Ramgopal Rathore, clerk, mining department. Sheikh and Rathore were arrested under section for Prevention of Corruption Act.
