Passengers created a ruckus at the Raja Bhoj Airport, Bhopal after they were not allowed to board the Delhi-bound Air India flight on Saturday. The airlines authorities told passengers that the flight had been “overbooked.”
Pawan Sharma, one of the passengers who were not allowed to board the plane, told HT that despite having confirmed tickets, six passengers were not allowed to board the Delhi-bound flight scheduled to take off at 8.15 am from the state capital.
“Two passengers, who had already boarded the flight, were asked to get down. When we questioned the officials of Air India what was happening, their attitude was rude and they just said we should contact the higher authorities as it was not their flight,” Sharma said.
The passengers were finally provided tickets on another Air India flight that departed at 3.30 pm. HT tried to contact the station manager of the airline for comments, but there was no response.
