Kay Kay Menon considers sports to be far above films. The actor believes that anyone can become a star, with a few good marketing strategies.

Not many people know that besides having a passion for acting, Kay Kay Menon also takes keen interest in sports. In fact, he considers “sports to be far above films”. “I think sportspersons are much greater than film stars. There’s no rocket science in making a star out of someone here (in Bollywood). The actor who prefers to keep a low profile isn’t even very active on social media. Ask him if his reserved nature ever becomes a hurdle for him in a promotion-driven industry like Bollywood, and he says, “I have always believed that my work will speak for itself. I’m anyway not a perfect human being, so why should I advertise myself?” Kay Kay feels that he would rather use his energy for “constructive purposes” than for creating a buzz about himself. “I would rather create some buzz for my film,” says the actor, however, admitting that social media does serve as a “good medium” for film promotions.
